Baby girl,

You finally have a name.

After we found out you were going to be a girl, we started wracking our brains trying to come up with the perfect name for you. I bought a book of 60,000+ names for us to peruse (that's a lot of names!!). We had lots of top contenders that we kept coming back to, but decided against for a number of reasons (too popular, doesn't go with our last name, etc.). We finally decided that the best name for you is Julia Elizabeth. Julia is so classic and pretty and we just love it. Elizabeth is your grandma's middle name- isn't that special??

We've really gotten in to the habit of calling you "baby" or "baby girl," but hopefully by the time you get here we'll start calling you by your name (even though I will probably still like calling you Baby Girl).

We are so excited about meeting you, sweet Julia!

6 months!

There have been many days when I didn't think we'd make it six months, baby girl. I'm finally starting to feel better (only getting sick a few times a week- yeah!!). This pregnancy has also gotten a lot sweeter recently because I can feel you moving. A few weeks ago I thought I might have been feeling you move around in there, but without anything to compare it to, I really wasn't sure. But it's unmistakable now. Your dad has also felt you moving around- he really really loves that. And if we stare at my stomach long enough, we can see it twitching when you roll around or kick or whatever it is you're doing in there. Pretty freaky. (But in a good way...)

We're starting to think about getting your nursery together. We've ordered your bedding and it is so girly and sweet. I think we've chosen your wall color too. Hopefully you like pink. Because you're about to be surrounded by it. Somehow you already have more outfits in your closet than I do. Oh wait, I know how that happened: your grandmas! You are going to be one well dressed baby!

Murphy says Hoppy Easter! Hopefully next year I can get a picture of the two of you in bunny ears! Too cute!!
