I'm currently 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. That's a long time to be pregnant! I think we will have about three or four more weeks until we get to meet our baby girl. We think we have everything we need and the house is pretty much at a point where it is as good as it is going to get. The ceilings have been scraped and painted, the carpet has been replaced, and Julia's room is put together just waiting for her (minus the wall above her dresser/changing table- no idea what to put up there). We've started washing all the bottles and blankets and bedding. We still need to wash some newborn clothes so she'll have something to wear when she comes home. This weekend we are going to pack our hospital bags and install the car seat. Nothing like driving around with a car seat in the backseat to make you realize how soon you'll have a baby in your life!
I took this picture last week when we were on a walk to commemorate the "view from above." It looks like I'm smuggling a basketball under my shirt. I don't think I'll miss this view very much once baby is here.

And finally... cousin Oscar came over to visit last night. We couldn't resist seeing how he would look in one of Julia's pretty bows. He definitely has enough hair to be wearing them! I think this was also his first baby doll experience. I can see some dress-up play in these cousins' future (poor Oscar!).
